About Us

At North Indy Music Group, we cultivate a community connected through music and wellness. Music is not just an extracurricular; it's a way to relieve stress, heighten creativity, and form connections. That is why, whether in our group or private classes, we promote mental and physical well-being using mindfulness and movement. To combat the often solitary nature of learning an instrument at home, we host regular concerts and casual social events. Above all, we strive to build a warm and welcoming presence, dedicated to bringing joy and wellness within our beloved community.

Testimonials

"Inna has taught piano to our children for close to ten years now. Inna loves teaching music, and truly cares for her students. She comes to our house for the lessons which is very convenient for us, and always walks in with a smile and positive energy. I have recommended her to many friends who have become long time students of hers. She is an exemplary piano teacher, and any student would be lucky to have her as their teacher."

"What I love about inna is she recognizes every child is motivated differently and learns differently...she embraces that and tailors her approach and content to each student. Her style is positive and empathetic and always working to build her students' confidence."

"Inna began teaching my three children piano in 2015. I am always amazed by her lessons. I enjoy listening to them myself. Inna is teaching children to play the piano, understand music theory, and giving them lifelong skills. Our other experiences with piano lessons focused so much on perfecting a piece of music over techniques and theory. That doesn’t happen with Inna. We are so blessed to have been introduced to this amazing woman."

Music has been a part of my life ever since shaky video evidence was captured of me dancing to Cotton-Eye-Joe as a fat-armed baby on my mom's lap. That being said, you were the only one to truly unlock my love for the craft. Anyone can learn to play piano, but not many could teach it the way you do. Your insistence on my "loosening up" when I say a rigid as a stone sculpture on the leather bench is the only reason I ever dropped my uptight demeanor. You taught me the difference between slamming a key and pressing it and me me invent storylines for songs in order to form that deeper connection. No matter how stupid I felt making up some love story or tragic epic to fit the mood of a piece, it helped in the end. Music is only effective when a person drops their barriers and listens to sounds even more the they create them. If I hadn't listened to you, I wouldn't only be a different musician but also a different person. Thank you for thirteen years of these lesson; they were priceless.
